Overview
I am an Assistant Professor with the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU). Before that, I was a faculty member at Harbin Institute of Technology, Shenzhen. I received my PhD in Computer Science from City University of Hong Kong in 2019, under the supervision of Prof. Cong Wang. I was a postdoctoral fellow with Data61, Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organization, Sydney, Australia, where I was fortunate to be advised by Dr. Surya Nepal. My current research interests are focused on machine learning security and privacy, secure networked systems, and secure outsourced computation. My research works have been published in reputable venues -- USENIX Security, CCS, VLDB, ESORICS, AsiaCCS, DSN, TDSC, TIFS, TSC, TKDE, TPDS, etc. I have been honored to receive the Distinguished Paper Award from ACM CCS 2025 and the Best Paper Award from ESORICS 2021. I have been serving as an Associate Editor for IEEE Transactions on Services Computing since March 2025.
